Writing at the

intersection of memory

& identity.

Craig Lang’s life story defies easy categorization. He has been an adopted child, a survivor, a soldier, a businessman, a bartender, a sports insider, and above all, a storyteller. His experiences took him through some of the most challenging and transformative moments imaginable, giving him a perspective that is both deeply personal and universally relatable.

Growing up, Craig found himself connected to the celebrated world of professional baseball through his father’s career. Yet beneath that unique backdrop lay a far more complicated reality. The contrast between public appearances and private struggles became one of the defining themes of his life. Rather than allowing those experiences to defeat him, he carried them forward, learning from every setback and every unexpected act of kindness.

His year in Vietnam further shaped his understanding of survival, courage, and human nature. Later chapters of his life brought new careers, new relationships, and opportunities to reinvent himself while carrying the lessons of the past.

What readers often appreciate most about Craig’s writing is its honesty. He does not hide his flaws or attempt to soften difficult truths. Instead, he invites readers into the full complexity of his experiences, trusting them to draw their own conclusions.
